Marathon of thoughts and intelligence

From March 13 to 18, the Asia-Pacific Best Practice Marathon is taking place, which is attended by representatives of 6 countries:

  • Belarus,
  • India,
  •  Iran,
  • China,
  • Malaysia,
  • Russia

The marathon competition includes the performance of a competitive task, which participants solve within 3 days to obtain a practical result.

As part of the legend of the task, a new system administrator gets a job in a large company that is at the stage of import substitution. There are many Debian-based machines in the enterprise infrastructure, and the rejection of Cisco network equipment in favor of Linux-based routers is also being tested.

The competitive task contains many tasks based on the experience of real operation of information systems in the field of integration and outsourcing of corporate computing networks.

The participants of the marathon competition are required to be able to use the technologies included in the certification programs LPIC, Red Hat, CCNA, CCNP, MCSA.

The event is held online. The technical platform, where secure access to the complex virtual and hardware-software components of the network infrastructure stands is implemented, is located on the territory of the Russian Federation. The headquarters of the event is located in Khabarovsk (Russia).

Belarus is represented in the competition by Alexander Penko, a student of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technology of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

The technical expert who, as part of the international team, ensures the participation and preparation of Alexander for the competition, became the head of the Department of ASOI of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Andrej Voruev.
