History reference
The central place in training of qualified specialists in the field of physical education and sports in our region belongs to the Faculty of Physical Education.
In 2019, the faculty will celebrate its 70th anniversary. During this period, more than 7000 specialists in Physical culture and sports industry were trained, including government officials and prominent scientists, distinguished workers in physical culture and sports industry, many famous athletes are champions and prize-winners of the Olympic Games, winners of the World and European Championships, and Honored Trainers of the Republic of Belarus and the USSR, who prepared a galaxy of famous athletes.
The Olympic champions brought world fame to the faculty: Leonid Geishtor (kayaking and canoeing), Elena Rudkovskaya (swimming), Alla Tsuper (freestyle), Igor Makarov (judo), Vladimir Izotov (swimming), Olympic winners Evgeny Gavrilenko, Nikolai Kirov, Sergey Smal, Vugar Orudzhev, Natalya Sazanovich, Natalya Stasyuk, Irina Yatchenko, Vyacheslav Makarenko Andrey, Kravchenko, Maria Mamoshuk. At present, the leading athletes of the faculty adequately represent the Republic of Belarus at international competitions of the highest level.

Faculty today
Today, the faculty trains specialists in the speciality “Physical Education” with the qualification “Teacher of Physical Education”.
The central place in the development of scientific research in the field of physical culture and sports in our region belongs to the Faculty of Physical Education, where over the past twenty years a scientific school of the physical education and sports industry has been formed and operates, which determines the strategy of the regional sports science: in health-improving physical culture - development and implementation of health-forming technologies; in the sport of the highest achievements - the management of the training and competitive activity of highly qualified athletes.
The research carried out in recent years at the faculty has been included in academic, republican and regional plans and research programs. The results of these studies are widely implemented in practice and have been recognized among leading experts in the field of pedagogical sciences.
On the subject of research, 15 monographs have been published (2 of them abroad), a number of teaching aids with the stamp of the Ministry of Education, there are numerous publications in the central scientific press, collections of scientific papers, fruitful scientific contacts are developing with institutions and individual scientists of the republic, near and far abroad.
About 350 students study at the faculty, 79 teachers teach.

The order of admission to the Faculty of Physical Education
Recruitment is carried out to the speciality 1-03 02 01 "Physical Education" on budgetary and contract basis with the assignment of the qualification "Teacher". For the correspondence faculty - to the speciality 1-03 02 01 “Physical Education” on budgetary and contract basis with the qualification “Teacher”. Admission is based on the results of centralized testing (CT), entrance tests in physical education, taking into account the average grade of the certificate.

The following specialities are being enrolled in part-time studies for graduates of secondary specialized education institutions: 2-01 01 01 “Preschool Education”, 2-01 02 01 “Primary Education”, 2-03 02 01 “Physical Education”, 2-88 02 01 “ Sports and Pedagogical Activity ” in the shortened form of training (4 years) in the speciality 1-03 02 01“ Physical Education ”with the qualification“ Teacher ”with the study of specializations“ Coaching”and“ Sports and Recreation and Tourist and Recreational Activities ". Recruitment is carried out on budgetary and contract basis.

Applicants submit the following documents to the committee:
- an application of a standard form addressed to the rector;
- the original document of the established sample on the appropriate level;
- certificates of centralized testing;
- medical certificate in form of 1zdr / u-10;
- extract from the work book (for those who work);
- a certificate from the employment service (for those who are registered with it);
- documents confirming the right to use privileges when enrolling or in payment for tuition;
- 6 photos in size 3x4
Applicants who enter not in the year of leaving school are required to submit documents confirming their education or work for the years preceding admission. A passport or another identity card issued by the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus or another foreign state is presented to the admission committee by the applicant personally.
Applicants who could not attend the entrance examinations for valid reasons (illness or other unforeseen documented circumstances preventing their participation in the entrance examinations), as well as injured during their execution (documented), are allowed to take them within the time limits determined by the schedule of entrance exams.
