Cooperation in the field of research and teaching human rights

On September 9 – 13, the Dean of the Faculty of Law Irina Esmantovich and Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Veronika Brilyova took part in a study trip to Latvia, Estonia and Finland with the aim of expanding cooperation in the field of research and teaching human rights in the framework of a consortium of law faculties of Belarusian universities.

Issues of the development of new technologies and the information society; sustainable development, interdisciplinary approaches, practice-oriented training and research were examined using the example of the Riga Higher School of Law, the University of Latvia (Riga, Latvia), the University of Tallinn, the Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn, Estonia), the University of Helsinki (Helsinki, Finland), and the University Turku (Turku, Finland). Based on the results of the visit, topical areas of scientific research of universities in the field of human rights for conducting joint research were identified: rights in the field of identity and individuality; welfare and well-being rights; rights related to the exercise of power by state bodies; rights related to the development of new technologies.
