In the updated Webometrics ranking, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University took the third position among Belarusian universities and 3,832 – among the universities of the world.
Francisk Skorina Gomel State University is traditionally among the leaders among the institutions of higher education in Belarus. The first place was taken by the Belarusian State University, the second – by the Belarusian National Technical University.
Harvard University, Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology became the leaders of the ranking among the world's universities.
The webometric rating is compiled by the independent Spanish research laboratory Laboratorio de Internet and is updated annually in January and July. The assessment of universities’ activities considers the presence of universities on the Internet and the citation of scientists’ publications.
