On April 13, an agreement on mutual cooperation was signed between the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and the Belkhudozhkeramika Open Joint Stock Company. On the part of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, the contract was signed by the rector of the university Sergei Khakhomov, on the part of the open joint stock company – the director of Belkhudozhkeramiki Alexander Topoltsev.

An updated international rating has been published – SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR), which for the first time included Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.
Three main groups of indicators are used for the calculation: scientific results (50%), innovative products – patents (30%) and social impact (20%).
GSU positions in the SIR 2022 rating:
249 – according to the indicator of social influence;
473rd place according to the results of scientific activity;
400 – on innovations.

Humor day at the preparatory department
An event dedicated to the Day of Laughter was organized at the preparatory department of the Institute of Advanced Training. It was attended by foreign students of the ПОИ-1 and ПОИ-2 groups. High spirits were present at all stages of the unusual lesson. The listeners took an active part in each of them. Thus, the presentation with April Fools’ jokes was accompanied not only by the linguistic comments of the teacher, but also by positive or negative assessments of the quality of the humor presented by the listeners.
