About trends and prospects of development of the tourism industry at the present stage

On April 26, the international student scientific and practical conference “Doing tourism business in Russia” was held at the Russian International Academy for Tourism. The conference was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages and Foreign Country Studies of the Academy.

According to the conference program, 1 participant from the university had to present the results of their research in English. The purpose of the conference is to identify relevant and promising areas of scientific research and practical developments in the field of tourism management.

The issues for discussion were:

 – contribution to the sustainable development of the tourism industry;

 – tourism and recreational potential of Russian regions;

– educational tours in Russia for foreigners;

– development of various types of tourism in Russia;

 – development of domestic and inbound tourism;

– prospects for the development of international cooperaation in tourism, etc.

The conference was attended by students of the Financial University, Moscow Regional State University, branches of the Russian International Academy for Tourism – Armenian Institute of Tourism, the Resurrection Institute of Tourism, Milan University Bicocca (Italy), the Russian International Academy of Tourism.

The Belarusian side was represented by Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. Natalia Korban, the 2nd-year student of the specialty “Linguistic support of intercultural communications (international tourism)”, presented a presentation on the topic “UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the Republic of Belarus”.

The best reports of the participants will be published in the collection of scientific papers of Russian International Academy for Tourism.
