Human rights academic cooperation

In the context of academic cooperation between the law faculties of Belarus and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (Sweden), a meeting of the steering committee was held. The director Morten Kjaerum, the head of the Eastern European department of the Swedish agency for international development cooperation Christina Denielson, and the representatives of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus took part in the meeting. There were discussed the issues of the current state of activities in the field of international cooperation and preliminary results for 2020. In the context of academic cooperation special studies are currently being carried out in the field of the quality of human rights education. A manual for legal clinics has been prepared, a manual "Gender and Law" has been distributed among students, a webinar on gender pedagogy is planned. The student group is studying the development of student self-government.

Francisk Skorina Gomel State University was represented in the meeting by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Irina Esmantovich and the Head of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines Veronika Brileva.
