Advanced training for security workers

During the period from 02/22/2024 to 04/01/2024 at the F. Skorina State University, employees of the security and safety department completed advanced training courses under the program “Professional-applied physical training of security workers of organizations” at the Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of the university.

 

In accordance with the content of the curriculum, the following questions were addressed to course participants during lectures:

  • requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on the use of physical force;
  • official responsibilities of persons in the security department of organizations;
  • history of the emergence and development of hand-to-hand combat;
  • distinctive features of hand-to-hand combat systems from sports ones;
  • technical actions and types of training in hand-to-hand combat classes;
  • the basics of using edged weapons and ways to counter them;
  • psychophysical preparation for extreme situations.
  • In practical classes, employees of the university's safety and security department studied techniques for forcefully detaining an offender, methods of releasing from grips and protecting from blows.

As a result of the implementation of the curriculum, course participants acquired the special knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for them to effectively solve problems in the field of their professional activities related to ensuring public safety at the university.
