As part of the "Gomel Through the Eyes of Foreign Students" project, Lyudmila Drobyshevskaya, senior lecturer in the Belarusian Literature Department, and students from the Sukhoi State Technical University and the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University visited the Gomel Palace and Park Complex.

The tour began at the Rumyantsev and Paskevich Palace, rightfully considered the city's architectural gem.

The students explored the palace's unique halls, learned about its rich history, and learned about its famous owners, whose lives are closely linked to the development of Gomel.

During the tour, the students learned about the events that took place in the park and palace grounds and examined a collection of art and historical artifacts.

The international students listened with interest to the audio guide and asked questions.

Particular attention was paid to the park surrounding the palace. Here, the students were able to enjoy the picturesque scenery and take many photographs.

A discussion followed at the end of the event, where the students shared their vivid impressions and thoughts.

It was more than just a tour; it was a wonderful opportunity to see history come to life and get to know the people who shaped Gomel!

Francisk Skorina Gomel State University student Soili Kakaeva shared her impressions: "What a wonderful place! I was especially impressed by the state of preservation of the Rumyantsev and Paskevich palace. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there yet."
