About 700 athletes from 33 European countries competed for the medals of the Championship in Poland.  The participants performed at distances of 200 m, 500 m and 1000 m in singles, twos and fours, as well as singles at a distance of 5000 m. 29 sets of awards were played. The Republic of Belarus took the III place in the medal table with three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Hungary won the first place (18 medals - nine gold, seven silver and two bronze ones),  Germany – the second place (four gold, three silver and three bronze medals). In the four kayak starts, the Belarusian crew consisting of Pavel Medvedev, a graduate student of the Faculty of Physical Education of our university, Ilya Fedorenko, Kirill Nikitin and Vitaly Belko won a gold medal at a distance of 1000 meters with a score of 3 minutes 2.023 seconds, ahead of the Hungarians (+0.673) and the Russians ( +1.827). Congratulations to our rowers, for whom  the Championship was the final test before the Olympic Games in Tokyo! We are proud of Pavel Medvedev, we wish him to achieve with the same persistence new heights, to win both in sports and in science!
