On April 22-23, the XII International Academic Internet Readings are being held at the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies of the Southern Federal University in Rostov-on-Don. The problematic field of readings is represented by issues related to the study of intercultural communication, the importance of language, translation activities in the preservation and translation of the values of human culture.

During the readings, famous scientists from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and South Korea gave lectures to young researchers. Russian University students, undergraduates and postgraduates of the Southern Federal University attended lectures by Candidate of Philological Sciences, Project Manager of the Russian Language Training Center of Moscow State University I.E.Karpenko; Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Southern Federal University B.M.Vladimirsky; Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University E.V.Nichiporchik.

E.V.Nichiporchik gave a lecture on the topic “The ultimate meanings of European paroemias”, which is very relevant for our time. The study of the proverbial funds of several European languages allowed the scientist to come to the conclusion that, despite the archaic nature of many proverbs and sayings, the ultimate meanings of nuclear paroemias, the truth of which has been verified for centuries, indicate the presence of significant coincidences in the value preferences of speakers of different ethnic cultures.
