Doctor of biological sciences, head of the department of sport and health improvement of the University of Zielona Góra (Poland), professor Richard Asinkevich visited GSU on October 9, 2018.

Yesterday it seemed to be impossible to study abroad. But today we can observe examples of student, Master`s degree and PhD student`s mobility abroad, of their internship and study experience at foreign universities, where they are awarded double diploma and degrees of partner universities as well.

That is what happened to a Senior teacher of Department of Optics Sergei Barsukov who came back at GSU after his 3-year PhD programme and defense of thesis at Shizuoka University.

From October 4 to October 5, 2018, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (Kazakhstan) hosted the International Forum of the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities “Problems of Continuing Teacher Education: Traditions and Innovations”, held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities (EAPU).

Representatives of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Nanjing University of Science and Technologies visited the Chinese company WuXi Hongjin-Wuxi Qiantai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.

The company is involved into equipment development and implementation of technologies of technologies for the production of hardening coatings by physical spraying (PVD). The chief engineer and one of the shareholders of this organization, Chen Xiaoquan, is a graduate of our university.

At the end of September a working meeting of the participants of the Erasmus + programme was held at the University of Cyprus (Nicosia) on the project “Improving Master's Education in the Field of Physical Sciences at Belarusian Universities” (“Physics”) and a seminar on developing curricula for undergraduates.

Professor Igor Semchenko, associate professors Dmitry Kovalenko and Andrei Samofalov were the members of the working group of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

The delegation from Shizuoka University visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on September 28, 2018. The meeting with the administration of Gomel State University, professor Jun Kondoh and professor Kazuhiko Hara was devoted to discussion of bilateral cooperation in the sector of training of the specialists within the frames of PhD double degree programme established between Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and Shizuoka University.

On September 22, 2018, the V international festival of ethno-cultural traditions "Call of Polesie" was held in Polesie, in agro-town Lyaskovichi of the Petrikov district.

At the opening of the cultural forum in agro-town Minister of culture of Belarus Yuri Bondar expressed the following opinion: "the international festival of ethnic and cultural traditions "Call of Polesie" opens the secret corners of the rich Belarusian culture, which is the basis of our national identity."

Representatives of the Chinese company «JJL International Education Exchange Promotion Ltd» («JJL») visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on September 26, 2018.

During the meeting with Rector Sergei Khakhomov the guests got familiar with the activities of Gomel State University, discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as broadening the opportunities for the Chinese citizens to study at GSU, development of joint projects, participation in The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). 
 

The students of the Faculty of psychology and pedagogy attended the lecture of a scholar from the USA Kenneth Brockman, an expert in nuclear physics who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005 as part of a group of IAEA scientists for "measures to prevent the use of atomic energy for military purposes".  The interactive lecture was devoted to the issues of psychological follow-up in emergencies. 

Current issues of development of pre-trial procedure at criminal trials were discussed at the 1st International scientific and practical conference devoted to the 7th anniversary of the Republic of Belarus Investigative committee establishment.

According to the vice-chairman of the Investigative committee Sergei Azemsha, the opinion exchange of the current theoretical problems in the criminal trial process on the stage of preliminary investigation would interest a wide range of specialists.
