On March 20, 2018, teachers and students of the Francisk Skaryna Gomel state University took part in the international conference "Securitatea Informationala-2018" ("Information security – 2018"), held by the Moldovan economic Academy (IEA). The tournament dedicated to the memory of Farman Salmanov, the discoverer of the oil involved more than hundreds of leading sportsmen from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Romania, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Sweden, Estonia and Croatia. The competition was held in ten weight categories for men and four for women.
