From December 2 to 5, the III Kyokushin Karate European Championship among men and women in weight categories was held at the Palace of Culture and Sports of Varna (Bulgaria).

December 2 Faculty of Physical Training of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University co-organized the VI International Scientific and Practical Conference "Physical Culture and Sport - the foundations of a healthy nation", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of higher education in the Trans-Baikal Territory (Chita, Russia).

The regional forum of student youth "Winter Rainbow" has started in Gomel. His program began with the sports relay "Starting Point" in the Palace of Athletics.

In the last days of autumn, republican wrestling competitions were held on the basis of the Olympic training center "Staiki".

Athletes of the Gomel region won the Cup of Belarus in Greco-Roman wrestling in the team competition and closed the top three in the freestyle wrestling tournament.

It is especially joyful that students of the Faculty of Physical Training of our university made a significant contribution to the team thriftbox.

December 1-2 Department of Theory and Methodology of Physical Training of F. Skorina Gomel State University took part in the conference “Actual problems of transformation of educational processes in sports and physical education”.

The director of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy Evgenij Shurmanov opened this scientific event.

Rector of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Sergei Khakhomov took part in the Belarusian-Chinese Forum "Innovation Hub: New Tracks for the development of Interstate Entrepreneurship". It was attended by more than 100 representatives of Belarusian and Chinese higher educational institutions.

On November 29 and 30, 2021, students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and teachers had a unique opportunity to listen to a course of lectures and take part in a discussion on the topics of intercultural communication and features of professional communication, organized with the participation of a professor at the University of Novi Sad (Republic of Serbia, https://www.uns.ac.rs/index.php/en /) Biljany Radich-Bojanich.

As part of the cultural, educational and scientific program of events "Slavic Meetings", a round table meeting on the topic "Current problems of linguoculturology" was held at the Faculty of Philology of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University on November 30, 2021.

With a beautiful overtime with a score of 3:2, the Gomel team "Energia" won over "Borisov-BSUFC. Congratulations to the guys on the victory!

Dmitrij Majorenko, a student of the Faculty of Physical Culture, is a member of Energia, and Roman Aplevich, a graduate of the Faculty of Biology, is the head coach of the team.

From November 14 to 21 in Polish (Gliwice), the first World Championship in short water swimming (25 m) among the Deflympians was held.

Representatives of 24 countries of the world took part in the tournament, and swimmers from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Germany and Poland became the best.

The honor of our country, as part of the national team of the Republic of Belarus, was worthily defended by Honored Masters of Sports of the Republic of Belarus, graduates of the Faculty of Physical Training of the F.Skorina Gomel State University.
