On September 3, the First Games of the CIS countries started in the capital of Tatarstan. At the end of July, one of the largest international rankings of higher education institutions, Webometrics Ranking of World Universities (WRWU) was updated. The place of the Francisk Skarina Gomel State University in the world ranking was marked by positive dynamics. According to preliminary data, it has moved from 3608 to 3275 position and entered the top of 10% the best educational institutions in the world.

From 17 to 18 June, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies Dmitry Kovalenko, the head of the delegation of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, took part in the international exhibition “International Cities Smart Green Istanbul 2021” (Turkey), where he presented the developments of the university .
