The university rector Sergei Khakhomov and co-directors of the Confucius Institute at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Alexander Rogachov and Ji Yimin, are taking part in the World Conference on the Chinese Language in Beijing. During the event, Sergei Khakhomov held a working meeting with the leadership of Nanjing University of Science and Technology.

The partners discussed the further development prospects of the Confucius Institute at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, as well as the implementation of several joint scientific projects.

On December 6, the university rector Sergey Khakhomov and the director of the Research Institute of Physical Chemical Problems at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Alexander Rogachov, were awarded the title of honorary professors at Baoding University of Technology. Representatives of our university delivered lectures to the faculty and students of the Chinese partner university.

Students, teachers and university staff joined an online meeting of the international youth discussion club “Tavrichesky” on the topic “Remote electronic voting: openness and trust.”

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus Igor Karpenko, officials of the Interparliamentary Assembly of States, students and teachers of higher education institutions, as well as representatives of youth election commissions and the Youth Council under the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Belarus took part in the work of the discussion club.

On November 28–29, 2023, the V International Scientific Conference of Young Researchers “Step into Science: Problems, Searches, Solutions” was held at Gomel State University named after Francis Skaryna. The conference was held by the Department of Russian, General and Slavic Linguistics with the support of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Belarus and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Gomel as part of the International cultural, educational and scientific event “Slavic Meetings”.

On November 21, a delegation from Heze University (PRC) visited the university. Since 2021, F. Skorina State University and Heze University have been implementing a joint educational program in the specialty “Physics”. During the meeting with First Vice-Rector Andrey Kruk, the progress of the joint project was discussed, as well as further prospects for bilateral cooperation.

On November 16, in accordance with the work plan of the Confucius Institute at the State University named after F. Skaryna, the IV international scientific and practical conference “Chinese language and culture of China” began its work. More than fifty university teachers, employees of scientific institutions, graduate students, undergraduates and students from Belarus, Russia and China take part in it. More than half of the conference participants are doctors and candidates of science.

A meeting of foreign students with representatives of law enforcement agencies took place at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

October 17, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University was visited by the Head of the International Department of Ajinkiya University D.Y. Patil, Professor, Dr. Vijayakumar Varadarajan (Pune, India). A representative of the Indian partner University met with Rector Sergei Khakhomov, and also visited the Faculty of Economics of our university. During the visit, the main areas of cooperation between the two universities were identified: academic exchange of students and teachers, organization of online lecture cycles, joint scientific conferences and joint scientific research.
