Human Rights Center of Belarusian State University hosted an international seminar on interdisciplinary research work in the area of human rights on February 28 – March 2, 2019. Representatives of our University took part in this event and presented 3 research projects.
The seminar was organized by Belarusian State University with the assistance of Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights (Sweden).
Conquering space, investigations in the field of astronomy and air mechanics were discussed at the Faculty of physics and information technologies of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. A lecturer from Samara National Research University Eugene Chursin delivered a lecture to the students of the Faculty.
Representatives of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University took part in a plenary session of the International scientific and practical conference “Pedagogical education within digitalization of economy” online. The conference was held by Moscow Pedagogical State University, a fundamental organization of the CIS countries on training of pedagogical staff, in cooperation with the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities and Association of pedagogical universities development.
Recognition of award winners of the World Championships among students 2018 and IV European University Games was held in Minsk on February 25, 2019.
Minister of sports and tourism Sergei Kovalchuk, Chairmanof Belarusian association of students sports Alexander Bogdanovich, vice-head of the National Olympic committee Sergei Repkin, representatives of sports federations, students and trainers took part in the conference.
International scientific symposium devoted to the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Slavic enlighteners Cyril and Methodius was held in Poland on February 13 – 15, 2019. Representatives from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus discussed various aspects of Cyril and Methodius tradition and its meaning for the modern Europe.
Masters theses defense was traditionally held at the end of January at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. 24 Master’s students of the Faculty of psychology and pedagogy were given the degree of Master of pedagogical and psychological sciences by the resolution of the state examination commission. The majority of the students have established themselves as specialists in their fields, some of them hold management positions, - in education, medicine and business.
March 13, 2019 on the eve of the national holiday - the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, which is annually celebrated on March 15, the Law Faculty will hold a Round Table on current trends and problems of constitutional development of the Republic of Belarus over the past 25 years.
Representatives of the Department of economics and management Inna Babyna, Anna Kazuschik, Youlia Pronuzo and Tatiana Sholomitskaya took part in a dialogue platform “Gomel active 2019” on activation of start-up community in the region as a factor for effective development of venture ecosystem in Belarus. Organization of the event was initiated by the administration of Gomel Technopark represented by its Director Dmitri Morozov and Vice Director Kirill Odintsov – graduates of the Faculty of economy of Gomel State University.
Post-graduate student of the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies Alexey Rusykin and master’s degree students Dmitry Slepenkov and Alina Parakhnevich will spent a semester at the University of Palermo (Italy).
Meeting of the students from Shanghai Industry and Commerce Foreign Language College with Rector of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, Doctor of physics and mathematics, docent Sergei Khakhomov was held on January 30, 2019. The students will receive training at GSU with a specialization in “Russian philology” and get Bachelor diploma in two years.
