Associate professor of the Department of radiophysics and electronics Alina Semchenko, head of the branch of the Department of radiophysics and electronics at OJSC “Integral” Natalya Kovalchuk  and the graduate of our University, doctor of sciences Tatyana Fedosenko-Bekker visited Ruhr to establish programmes of students exchange between Gomel State University, Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Wuppertal and to discuss other forms of cooperation.

Delegation from the International University SILKWAY (Shymkent, Kazakhstan) visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University at the beginning of March – Head of the department of pedagogy and primary education methodology Rabiga Ismanova, senior lecturer of the department of pedagogy and primary education methodology Meryuert Ashimova, senior lecturer of the department of Russian language and literature Gulnaz Parmenkulova and senior lecturer of the department of Russian language and literature Saltanat Niyazbekova. 

Representatives of the Faculty of extramural studies of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Nikolay Galinovsky and Timur Borodich took part in the international scientific and methodological online conference “The Sixth Universality of Global Educational Conference 2019” held at Sam Houston State University (USA). 

Human Rights Center of Belarusian State University hosted an international seminar on interdisciplinary research work in the area of human rights on February 28 – March 2, 2019. Representatives of our University took part in this event and presented 3 research projects.

The seminar was organized by Belarusian State University with the assistance of Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights (Sweden).

Conquering space, investigations in the field of astronomy and air mechanics were discussed at the Faculty of physics and information technologies of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. A lecturer from Samara National Research University Eugene Chursin delivered a lecture to the students of the Faculty. 

Representatives of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University took part in a plenary session of the International scientific and practical conference “Pedagogical education within digitalization of economy” online. The conference was held by Moscow Pedagogical State University, a fundamental organization of the CIS countries on training of pedagogical staff, in cooperation with the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities and Association of pedagogical universities development.

Recognition of award winners of the World Championships among students 2018 and IV European University Games was held in Minsk on February 25, 2019.

Minister of sports and tourism Sergei Kovalchuk, Chairmanof Belarusian association of students sports Alexander Bogdanovich, vice-head of the National Olympic committee Sergei Repkin, representatives of sports federations, students and trainers took part in the conference. 

International scientific symposium devoted to the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Slavic enlighteners Cyril and Methodius was held in Poland on February 13 – 15, 2019. Representatives from Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Belarus discussed various aspects of Cyril and Methodius tradition and its meaning for the modern Europe.

Masters theses defense was traditionally held at the end of January at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. 24 Master’s students of the Faculty of psychology and pedagogy were given the degree of Master of pedagogical and psychological sciences by the resolution of the state examination commission. The majority of the students have established themselves as specialists in their fields, some of them hold management positions, - in education, medicine and business.
