A gala concert concluded the Inter-GSU 2026 student week at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The event served as an excellent opportunity to recognize the achievements of the university's international students, who have distinguished themselves in various areas of university life. Young people who excelled in academic and social life were awarded certificates of appreciation. The traditional Inter-GSU week fosters cultural ties between students from different countries and fosters the development of creative potential among the university's youth.

The regional mini-football tournament "GSU Rector's Cup" for international students and preparatory department students was held at the stadium of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The competition was held as part of the "Inter-GSU 2026" week.

On May 11, as part of the "Inter-GSU 2026" week, the XI Inter-University Olympiad in Russian Language was held for first-year international students and students of preparatory departments (hereinafter referred to as PD).

On May 10, Chinese language instructors from Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, along with Chinese graduate and master's students, took part in a tour of the Dudutki Museum Complex of Ancient Folk Crafts and Technologies. The event was organized by the Confucius Institute at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

On April 17, 2026, the Chinese song contest "The Chinese Language: Igniting Bright Dreams" was held at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University to mark International Chinese Language Day. The event was organized by the Confucius Institute at Francisk Skorina Gomel State University.

On April 18, the Russian Linguistic Culture Office of the Faculty of Philology hosted the annual educational event "Total Dictation," designed to draw attention to the culture of literate writing.

Participants from 1,240 locations across Russia and 56 countries, including China, Indonesia, Ireland, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Morocco, the USA, the Philippines, Switzerland, and elsewhere, completed the dictation in person. Participants could also join the event as part of an online marathon and online dictation.

On April 7, Turkmen students from the Faculty of Biology at the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, along with their instructor Valentina Novak, professor in the Department of Russian and World Literature, visited the Gomel Regional Universal Library named after V. I. Lenin.

Tour guides introduced the students to the works of Belarusian writers Ivan Melezh, Ivan Shamyakin, Ivan Naumenko, and Andrei Makayonok.

The young people participated in a quiz game and were shown the private book collection of the Paskevich princes in the Rare Book Museum.

On April 3, international students from the Faculty of Physical Education, along with Alexander Kurako, senior lecturer in the Department of Sports Disciplines, took part in the walking tour "Heritage of the Gomel Land."

The tour guide described the origins of the city on the Sozh River, as well as the history of the city's palace and park complex.

The students learned about the works of the outstanding Belarusian architect and honorary citizen of Gomel, Stanislav Shabunevsky.

The excursion was organized with the support of the tourist information center.

On January 30, the 5th Anniversary Open Wushu Tournament for the Confucius Institute Cup was held in the gymnasium of Building No. 1 of the Francisk Skaryna Gomel State University. The traditional competition brought together over 50 young athletes aged 5 to 15—students from schools in Gomel and the Gomel region.
