The XXII Regional Open Competition of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Students “TechnoIntellect” was held at the Faculty of Physics and Information Technologies of Gomel State University. This year, for the first time, it was held in a new format: the contestants presented their projects online.

85 participants from educational institutions from 18 districts of Gomel Region and the Regional Center were registered to participate in TechnoIntellect.

Head of the Department of Belarusian Literature, Doctor of Philology, Professor Ivan Fedorovich Steiner took part in the program "Good evening, Gomel!", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin.

The geography of international relations of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University is constantly expanding. At present the university has 177 cooperation agreements with foreign universities and organizations from more than 25 countries. Among the youngest partners of GSU are educational and scientific centers of Uzbekistan.

On January, 29, students of Francisk Skorina Gomel State University took part in the meeting with the President via video link.

The dialogue platform of student activists with the delegates of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly unfolded on January, 27 in the exhibition hall of GSU.

The speakers were the delegates of the ABPA - Alexey Zaitsev, a senior lecturer at the Department of General Physics, and Daria Kozlova, a student of the Faculty of Economics.

The future participants of the big national dialogue shared their thoughts and expectations from the upcoming forum, told us what it is like to become a delegate.

On the eve of the Day of Belarusian Science, the region's higher institutions summed up the results of last year's scientific activities. The Belarusian-Chinese laboratory for vacuum-plasma technologies was recognized as the best international project at Gomel State University. The correspondents of the TV and Radio Company “Gomel” met with its employees.

On January 14, the representatives of the Scienceberry company visited Francisk Skorina Gomel State University. The delegation includes Director Anastasia Radchenko, the founder Li Shen and Lu Yingchun, the professor at Peking University. On the part of our university, Rector Sergei Khakhomov, First Vice-Rector Andrey Kruk, Head of the International Affairs Department Alexander Grakhotsky and Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department Sergey Sys attended the meeting.

In summing up the past year in Nanjing University of science and technology the title of "man of the year 2020" was awarded Director of the scientific-research physicochemical Institute, GSU named after F. Skorina, corresponding member of NAS of Belarus, honored worker of science of the Republic of Belarus, doctor of chemistry, Professor Alexander Rogachev.
