Students of the Faculty of Physics and IT underwent a six-month internship in Italy under the ERASMUS + program this year.

ERASMUS + is the European Union's student and faculty exchange program between universities. To participate in the program, young people must meet a number of requirements, for example, be students for at least 2 years of study, have a sufficiently high GPA, and be fluent in the language of instruction at the host university. All interested candidates went through a small competition, which was based on the exam in the English language, as well as university achievements.

The host university is located in the city of Palermo (southern Italy). Students gained new knowledge and fully enjoyed the beauty of this amazing place, saturated with ancient history and the smell of the sea, cultural traditions and excellent gastronomy. Palermo combines beautiful architecture with breathtaking seascapes, charming squares and atmospheric streets, impressive churches and opulent palaces, cute street markets and cozy restaurants.

After the quarantine was lifted, the students traveled all over Sicily, climbed the active volcano Etna, made new acquaintances with young people from completely different countries (Ukraine, Tunisia, Germany, Egypt, Turkey, USA, France, Brazil and others). The guys also visited the north of Italy.

All exams were passed online. Young people successfully closed the session. The last days before returning to Belarus, the students spent in the capital of Italy - Rome, where they got acquainted with the architectural monuments and enjoyed the incredible atmosphere of the ancient city.
