From February 8 to February 18 , teachers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, fruitfully cooperating within the framework of the organization of educational and research activities among teachers and students with the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Languages of the Moscow Regional State University (https://mgou.ru/fakultety-i-instituty/institut-lingvistiki-i-mezhkulturnoj-kommunikatsii/fakultet-romano-germanskih-yazykov), took an active part in the VII International Science Festival, confirming that cooperation between faculties has reached a new level.

Thus, to the already traditional scientific student online conference “Theory and practice of teaching foreign languages: traditions and prospects of development”, which is held annually by partner universities, this year an interactive component has been added in the form of online lectures for students, undergraduates and postgraduates, which are read by leading specialists of our faculties. “Russian-Belarusian Days (within the framework of a joint project with the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University)” are presented by lectures that are devoted to topical issues of foreign literature, linguistics and methods of teaching foreign languages, introducing listeners to new trends in these fields of science. Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of the English Language of the State University named after F. Skorina I.A. Khorsun with a lecture on “American literature between two wars”, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Linguodidactics of Moscow Regional State University N.V. Akimov with a lecture on “Internet in the work of a foreign language teacher” and Ph.D., Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of the English Language of the Francisk Skorina Gomel State University O.A. Lidenkova with a lecture on “Corpus technologies in science and teaching” presented to the audience vivid reviews on this topic, indicated areas that may be of interest for further research in the field of linguistic research and methods of teaching foreign languages.

Such an experience of online lectures by leading specialists of partner faculties seems to be very promising, since they allow sharing the accumulated experience within the framework of educational and research activities. This kind of organization of lectures is also effective in that it is a mini-conference in which you can discuss questions on a given topic with a large number of participants, get answers to questions of interest and, of course, find interesting interlocutors. In addition to attending online lectures, within the framework of the Russian-Belarusian Days project, students of both faculties take an active part in master classes and a round table where they demonstrate the skills acquired during the development of educational programs at partner universities: master class “Denglisch: learn English in German! What language does modern Germany speak?”, a round table for students “A foreign language in the modern digital world”, a master class for students “Linguistic diversity of the regions of France”.

Speaking about the future plans of our cooperation, we would like to say that everything achieved will be preserved and increased, and everything new will be introduced and multiplied.
